At First Step PE, we believe providing positive PE experiences is essential for children’s overall development and wellbeing. Positive experiences in school mean a lifelong commitment to being fit and healthy and finding joy in movement.
So how do we ensure that all pupils in our PE sessions have enjoyable experiences?
We emphasize positivity
Children enjoy our lessons because we highlight the positives of their performance, not their mistakes. We build our sessions to help them understand basic motor skills like running, jumping, throwing and catching in a supportive environment, highlighting the need for good technique through fun minigames and activities.
PE is about participation, not competition
Our PE sessions concentrate on expanding a child’s motor skills through fun and engaging activities. They don’t need to be able to play rugby to learn how to throw the ball around, but they can learn the minigames that test their teamwork and motor skills.
We offer a broad range of physical activity in our PE programmes, including well-known sports like Hockey and football alongside dance, and exciting enrichment activities such as fencing and archery. With such a range, there’s something exciting for everyone.
We provide a varied programme of activity
And we build it with your needs in mind! Our PE manager will work with you to provide solutions to suit your CPD needs and core curriculum requirements.
We believe that a positive experience with PE is about giving your school options. Physical activity benefits their physical and mental health, so our sessions tackle problems that might affect their performance in and out of school.
We enhance your resources
Need support with well-serviced and expertly maintained equipment? We provide specific equipment for some of our more unique games and activities like Quidditch or Curling, so you can rest easy.
