Schools in England will benefit from recently published FAQs by the Association for PE. This new document follows the government’s announcement of the extension of the grant. The document summarises recent queries by existing members including advice on how to meet the minimum 2 hours of PE a week target.
There are also a number of resources that have been developed by the AFPe specifically to ensure that the schools have access to the support they need. The afPE Taskforce research recommendations are comprised of:
- A vision for core transformational physical education
- Future-proofing PE
- Having the best-skilled workforce
- Promoting the potential of PE including wider public benefits
- Protecting future investment
