A staple in British sports, the British Basketball Trophy Finals will be taking place this month in Glasgow. On the 20th of March, the top men’s and women’s teams will battle out to determine the victor at the Emirates Arena in Scotland.

The Trophy Finals are amongst the most prestigious available in the sport. Two of the top teams from the elite men’s (BBL) and women’s (WBBL) British Basketball League will have the opportunity to bring home the second piece of silverware available this season.

With the London Lions male and female basketball teams taking their first titles in 2020, this year is set to bring more than 6000 fans to the venue. Packing out this venue with both fans and a range of courtside entertainment, from music to cheerleaders, it is sure to be the spectacle of the season.

The event is a great chance to give children an opportunity to see what the sport has to offer. From hand-eye coordination to the agility of movement across the basketball court, this is a great starting point for a new interest to which First Step PE is happy to accommodate.
