World Mental Health Day – How LivWell can help your school improve its wellbeing support

On the 10th of October, stakeholders across the world got the opportunity to provide direction for mental health support under the theme of ‘Mental Health in an Unequal World’.

The theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, brought together the experiences of a range of groups including health, frontline workers, students, people living alone and those with pre-existing mental health conditions. These groups among others were more likely to experience increasing hardship during pandemic restrictions.

The experience was particularly disruptive for children in primary school. Many will have just started school, spending more contact time out of school than in it, and for others getting back to a routine has been difficult. The social and academic value that has been lost can be recaptured, but you need the right solution.

The kind of solution that keeps the child at its centre.

The LivWell programme is the product of over 50 years of educational experience from its founders by Adam Shakesheave, Caroline Siddel and Eddie Ray. It is designed to help children become their best selves with tools to help them experience greater calm and happiness.

As support for wellbeing across schools becomes an integral part of educational strategy, First Step PE is on hand to enhance your PE delivery, with a variety of movement options including yoga and dance. Our Pick & Mix option and specialised festive enrichment mornings can better prepare your pupils to meet the challenges of life head-on. (The first being homework!)
